Rivers Rhodes Beede of Kerrville, Texas, entered into rest Saturday, January 21st, 2017.\r\n \r\nShe was born April 7th, 1948, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She graduated Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1966 and LSU, Baton Rouge, in 1970.\r\n \r\nRivers married Gary Beede in 1972 in Houston, Texas and later welcomed children, Adrienne Kizer of Austin, Adam Beede of San Antonio and Rebecca Beede of Burnet, Texas.\r\n \r\nLeft to treasure her memory are her mother, Rivers Wallace of Shreveport, Louisiana; sisters, Amy Lore of New York City, New York, and Karen Doty of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and brothers, Ford Wallace of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jon Wallace of Boulder, Colorado.\r\n \r\nRivers Beede was a selfless servant of others, and a woman of strong faith. A devout member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, she regularly volunteered at Mustard Seed Ministries.\r\n \r\nSpeaking French and Spanish, she cherished the opportunity to travel with friends and family, and to serve her faith abroad.\r\n \r\nShe was a beloved teacher of French, Spanish and English for 25 years, having taught in Spring and San Antonio, Texas.\r\n \r\nServices for Rivers will be held Tuesday, January 31st at Kerrville First United Methodist Church at 2 pm with good friend, Donna Magee performing the service.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Mustard Seed Ministries through the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville.\r\n
