Richard G. Villarreal

Richard G. Villarreal, 58 years of age, of Pipe Creek, Tx, passed away on June 7,2023 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in San Antonio, Tx to Dominga Gutierrez and Alberto A. Villarreal on April 26, 1965. He married Katherine De La Garza on November 7, 1984.

He attended Sidney Lanier High School and Alief Hastings High School.

He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for over 30 years. He drove locally and over the road during that time.

He is preceded in death by his brother Orlando G. Villarreal and mother-in-law Estella C. De La Garza.

Richard (Rick) is survived by his wife, Katherine, children, Nicole and Rick Villarreal and wife, Roxanne. Brothers, Albert A. Villarreal Jr. and wife Adela, John Villarreal, and wife Ruby. Sister, Angelina Alvarez. Parents, Albert A. Villarreal Sr. and wife Dominga. And grandchildren, Kairi Gaitan, Rick Jr. (RJ), Riley, Remi, and Randi Villarreal. Also, numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be at Grimes Funeral Chapel, Bandera Texas, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. Mass will be held Thursday June 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with a procession to follow, to Pipe Creek Cemetery.

The family of Richard G. Villarreal would like to extend our sincere thanks to Elegant Hospice Care of San Antonio - Kendra, Alaina, Roxy, Connie, and Dr. Bass for all of the care and compassion that was given to Rick these last 5 months. We could not have made it through this difficult time without all your help and support.
