Rex Lee Wailes, 67 was born on January 14, 1954 and passed away on January 14, 2021 at his home in Bandera, Texas surrounded by his family. \r\n\r\nRex was born in Denver, Colorado to Lawrence and Donna Wailes. He graduated from Bennett High School in 1973. He married Sheryl on February 7, 1976 in Bennett, Colorado. \r\n\r\nRex was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Wailes, and sister, LaDonna Ehmann. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl, mother, Donna, brother, Roy Wailes and wife, Beverly, brother-in-law, Ken & Maggie Ehmann. Also, survived by 5 nieces, 8 nephews, 8 great nephews and 11 great nieces. \r\n\r\nRex's services will be grave side only on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 12 noon at Mount View Cemetery in Bennett, Colorado. \r\n\r\nPallbearers are Roy Wailes, Hayden Wailes, Don Wailes, Bill Wailes, Royce Pindell, and Ronnie Sexton. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Miranda, Michael Pinzenscham, and Sandy Vetter.\r\n\r\nRex and his family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Peterson Hospital, Peterson Rehab and Peterson Hospice in Kerrville, Texas. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have memorials in Rex's name for scholarships sent to the American Chuck Wagon Association, P O Box 626, Belton, Texas 76513. \r\n\r\n\r\n
