Renia Frances Bass, age 85, of Ingram, passed away on February 13, 2016, in Kerrville. She was born on November 18, 1930, in Dallas, to William Laurence and Pearl Temperance Hildebrand Broyles. She married James Bennie Bass on December 26, 1955 and followed her husband for 57 years around the world. When she and her husband, "Sam" Bass retired, they enjoyed many cruises with family and friends.\r\n \r\nFrances had a joyful life. Always wanting to help people and adopt any homeless animal. She had a large family of loving friends and animals.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bass of Ingram; sisters, Alma Euler of Mesquite, and Helen Ragsdale of Houston; brother, William Broyles of Quitman; grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Rappold and husband Chip, and Amber Leah Diebels and husband Steve; great grandchildren, Alexander J. Hayes, Vaughn F. Rappold, and Christopher N. Diebels; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Chief Mst. Sgt. James Bennie Bass and daughter, Connie Lyons. \r\n \r\nA graveside service will be held on Friday, March 4th, at 1:45 PM, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her name to the Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville.
