Regina Marice Hillis

Regina Marice Hillis, 70, of Lakehills, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2024. She was born in Elk City, Oklahoma to Paul and Jeanne King on February 12, 1953. She married James W. Hillis Jr. on January 10th, 1976 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Gina grew up traveling the United States with her family enjoying many wonderful camping trips and adventures. She was a talented woman who enjoyed art and was often creating wonderful crafts that she would take to area shows. Gina was a devout woman of faith raising 3 children who gave her 7 beautiful grandchildren that she loved very much. She enjoyed the peaceful country life that living in the Hill Country offered and you could often find her working in her yard or creating beautiful crafts in her barn. She was a kind woman with a loving heart and a beautiful smile. She will be missed dearly.

Gina is preceded in death by her father, Paul H. King, her mother, Jeanne King, and her husband of 46 years, James W. Hillis Jr.

Gina is survived by her children, Robert and wife, Regina L. Hillis; Patrick and wife, Allison Hillis; daughter J.J. Bryant; grandchildren, Clarissa Hillis, Zac Bryant and his wife J, Jacob Hillis, Felicity Bryant, Rylie Hillis, Levi Hillis, Garret Hillis as well as her 5 brothers, 2 brothers-in-law, 8 sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2024, at 6pm followed by the Rosary at 7pm at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas.

Mass will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 10am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera, Texas. Burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
