Rebecca (Beckie) Berry Brown, 68, of Kerrville, passed away on August 26, 2018 in Kerrville. She was born on July 2, 1950 in Uvalde, Texas to Robert (Bob) O'Rell Berry, Sr. and Mary English Hans.\r\n\r\nShe went to high school in Uvalde, she also attended Jr. College in Uvalde and St. Phillips Community College in San Antonio to become a certified medication aide. She was a medication aide at several nursing homes in the Kerrville and Fredericksburg area for 24 years until her retirement in 2012 at which time she became a receptionist at CCSCT recently. Beckie was also one of the first certified EMT's in Uvalde County in the early 1970's she was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Uvalde.\r\n\r\nBeckie is preceded in death by her father Robert (Bob) O'Rell Berry, Sr., older brother Robert (Bo) O'Rell Berry, Jr., grandparents W.T. and Lucille Berry and Tom and Sallie English, step father Jack Hans all of Uvalde, Texas.\r\n\r\nBeckie is survived by two daughters Kathie Brown Smith of Belen, New Mexico; Jennie Mills and husband Len of Center Point, Texas; brother Roger Lee Berry (wife Sharon) of Uvalde, Texas; mother Mary English Hans of Uvalde, Texas; Grand-children Jake Valenzuela and Tiffany of Las Cruces, NM; Aaron Valenzuela, Las Cruces, NM; Levi, Lexi and Blake Mills of Center Point, Texas; Jacob Mills of Moore, Texas, Matt Mills of San Angelo, Texas; Aunt Margaret English Renfro of Uvalde, Texas; great grandson James Cash Valenzuela of Las Cruces. Ex husband and life long friend and father of her girls Sterling (Red) Brown who stood by her through good and bad for 50 + year, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members.\r\n\r\nMemorial services will be Sunday September 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hilltop Village Nursing Center Chapel in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Grimes Funeral Chapel.
