Raymond Peter Giovannini, born September 17, 1924, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. He was born in Eveleth, MN, the youngest of 6 children to Frank and Angelina Giovannini. He moved to Texas in 1956 to work as a pharmacist, a profession he worked in for over 50 years. He was honorably discharged from the US Army in March of 1946 after serving in WWII. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and worked with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was married to his first wife, Flora, for almost 43 years before her passing on April 16, 1995. He married his current wife, Kathleen Stewart, on September 7, 1996. He moved with his wife, Kathleen, to Kerrville in 2007 from La Grange, TX.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two step sons, Edward and his wife Sharon of Junction TX, Larry and Terri of Hondo, TX; and his children from his first wife Flora, Raymond Jr. and Susan of Victoria, TX, Mary Quereau of Lafayette, LA, Tom and Pam of Ft. Smith, AR, Lydia and Richard Sloan of Sealy, TX, Andrianne and Jeff of Katy, TX, Michelle and David of Sugarland, TX, Gabrielle and Victor Tekell of Houston, TX and Greg and Sherry of Bradford, AR. In addition to his children, he is survived by twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora; a great granddaughter, Angela Stewart; and great grandson, Levi Machac.\r\n \r\nA Memorial Mass will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church officiated by Father David Wagner.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul or your favorite charity.\r\n
