Ray Goodwin

Eskell Ray Goodwin, 84 years old of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. Known by all as Ray Goodwin, he was born in Rotan, Texas on August 3, 1932 to Percie A. Goodwin and Zada Sharp-Goodwin. He was married to Jenada in September 1984 in Long Beach, California.\r\n \r\nRay Goodwin completed his high school education in Rotan, Texas. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was retired from Long Beach California School district as a Maintenance Supervisor/Locksmith.\r\n \r\nRay was preceded in death by his wife, Jenada Goodwin; his brother, Bill Goodwin; his sister, Minnie Roe; and both of his parents, Percie Goodwin and Zada Goodwin. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by a brother, Oscar Goodwin; two daughters, Paula McCauley and Pamela Goodwin; son, Percie Goodwin; granddaughters, Danielle Swathwood, Shannon Jones, Madison Goodwin and Emma Goodwin; grandsons, Dale Swathwood and Devin Goodwin. He has 4 great-grandsons, Caleb Koch, Colin Jones, Landon Swathwood, Oliver Goodwin; and a great-granddaughter, Kaley Swathwood.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at Southern Oaks Baptist Church, located at 122 Valley View, Kerrville, Texas 78028, on March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Joe Taylor.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.\r\n
