Ramiro 'Louis' Madrid Jr., of Ingram, Texas, fell asleep in death at his residence on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016. \r\n \r\nHe was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Kerrville, Texas, son of Ramiro and Susie (Medrano) Madrid. \r\n \r\nLouis was raised in Kerrville, where he had fond memories of fishing the Guadalupe River with his brother and little sister. He always maintained a high respect and appreciation for American Indian culture, artifacts and observing and attending Indian Pow-wows. \r\n \r\nLouis loved his family and enjoyed a special relationship with each of his nieces and nephew. He loved to teach about anything and everything. \r\n \r\nLater in life, through his study of the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses, he found a love for the Bible and looked forward to the promises held out for all mankind. He maintained resilience and zeal for life despite trying circumstances. \r\n \r\nHe will be missed dearly. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by his mother, Jesusa "Susie" Madrid; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Eddie Saldana of Midlothian, Texas; nephew, Matthew Saldana; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Sue Madrid of Heath, Texas; niece, Morgan Madrid; sister, Margaret Madrid of Ingram, Texas; niece, Teresa Smith; great-niece, Chesney DeHoyos; great-niece, Charlize Armelin; and beloved pets, Gray Eagle, Patina, Pee-Wee and Chula. \r\n \r\nLouis was preceded in death by his father, Ramiro; sister, Elena (Pat); and brother, Joey. \r\n"We love you, Flaco."\r\n \r\nServices are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.\r\n
