Priscilla Jean Myers, born July 15, 1922 in Santa Barbara, California, passed away at Stoney Brook of Belton on Saturday, July 28, 2018.\r\n\r\nPriscilla was predeceased by her husband, Warren Myers and daughter, Janet Myers Prentice. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by daughter, Susan Myers Ward Cory (husband Walt); grandchildren, Russell Ward (wife Erica), Jason Prentice (wife Erin) and Janelle Prentice Trayes (husband Nathan); and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Ryana Trayes, Hayden and Audrey Ward, and Aurora and Brighton Prentice.\r\n\r\nPriscilla graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1940. She married Warren Myers in 1943. While Warren served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, Priscilla worked on the switchboard at the Army Hospital in Santa Barbara. After the war, the couple started a family and lived in Ventura, California. Warren's promotions in the oil business took the family to Houston where the couple resided until retirement. \r\n\r\nRetirement took them to the Hill Country where they lived in Kerrville, enjoying golf and many friendships in a retirement community, Vicksburg Village. Priscilla loved bridge, going out to eat with friends, gardening and bird-watching in her retirement years. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, and she faithfully attended the Keystone Sunday School Class. In 2012, Priscilla moved to Belton, Texas to be closer to her family.\r\n\r\nThe family is grateful to the staff of Stoney Brook for their many years of assistance and concern, and to Scott & White Hospice for their compassion and care in Priscilla's final weeks.\r\n\r\nA celebration of her life will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas, on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.
