Thelda Jean "PIXIE" Carpenter of Ingram, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Paola, Kansas on October 21, 1942 to Mary Margaret Smith and David Truelove. \r\n \r\nShe worked at Hilltop Village as the House Keeping Supervisor for 15 years. She loved working at Hilltop Village and made countless friendships during her time there. \r\n \r\nPixie was the type of person that made a friend everywhere she went; she didn't know a stranger. She lived a very full life and made the best of every day. Her family meant everything to her and she was proud to show off the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many people. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Mosman, and her parents.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her partner, Fred Lindsey; daughters, Janine Carpenter , Janniece Carpenter, and Destiny Carpenter; grandchildren, Kristin Isham, Lacie Isham, Danni Isham, and Amber Steele; great-grandchildren, Aeson, Joslyn, Ryan, Michael, Nathan, and Kimberly. \r\n \r\nFuneral Services will be at 2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Hilltop Village Chapel in Kerrville. Immediately following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life reception at the Hill Country Veteran's Center in Kerrville, located at 411 Meadowview Lane. \r\n \r\nThe family is accepting donations to assist with funeral expenses through YouCaring.com and searching Pixie Carpenter.
