Perry Daniel Branyon, son of the late Thomas Aaron Branyon and Edna Madden Branyon, was born August 25, 1937, in Uniontown, Alabama. He graduated from Fayette County High School in Fayette, Alabama, in 1955. Then in 1959, he completed a BS in Dairy Manufacturing from Alabama Polytechnic Institute, which was soon after renamed Auburn University. While in college, he met and fell in love with Peggy Marie Lancaster and they married on October 17, 1959, and began a lifelong partnership. \r\n \r\nPerry Branyon spent most of his growing up years with his six siblings living and working on the family dairy farm in Fayette County, Alabama. After graduating from college, he began work in the dairy industry with Barber Pure Milk Company in Montgomery, Alabama. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961 and in the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Captain. His professional involvement in the dairy industry spanned 40 years, during which time he had a successful career working for companies in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee. He was involved in Baptist churches wherever he lived and he enjoyed teaching youth and young adults as well as serving in the church choir and as a deacon. After retirement in 2001, Perry and Peggy pursued their dream of buying a ranch in Texas and settled down in Ozona, Texas. The next years he lived happily sharing his love of the outdoors and hunting with his kids and grandkids when they visited Ozona and Kerrville, Texas. During retirement, he also found time to continue researching and recording the genealogy of his family, finally completing that work in 2015. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, October 30, 2016, in Kerrville, Texas. \r\n \r\nHe leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Peggy Marie Lancaster Branyon; his son Mark Branyon of Kerrville, Texas; his daughter Tenza Branyon Flowers and her husband Jim Flowers of Houston, Texas; his son David Branyon and his wife Pam Branyon of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter Julie Branyon Kelton and her husband John Kelton of Huntsville, Alabama; his foster son Paul Bain and his wife Michele Bain of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren Daniel Flowers and his wife Katie Flowers, Thomas Branyon, Tyler Flowers, Rachel Branyon, Auburn Kelton, Sabrina Bain, Nathaniel Kelton, Genevieve Bain, Laurel Kelton, Katie Bain, Lucy Bain, and Caroline Bain; and a host of dearly loved family and friends.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas.
