Pauline (Polly) Marguerite McClure of Kerrville, Texas passed away on April 29, 2016 in her home. She was born in Midland, Texas to Leon Washington Conner and Dortha Mabel Harris Connor on November 16, 1931. She married the love of her life, Don McClure, in Hillsboro, Texas on July 3, 1960.\r\n\r\nPolly attended many different schools as she was growing up. Her dad was a highway construction worker and they traveled all over north Texas and Oklahoma. She worked at several jobs through her life including Evans Food Store in Kerrville. Probably the job she loved most was working beside her husband and traveling with him as he fulfilled his duties as Constable of Kerr County.\r\nShe is proceeded in death by her husband, Don, and her mother and father plus two brothers, Wilmer and Chester, and two sisters, Hazel and Vernetta.\r\n\r\nPolly is survived by her son, Bill Bennett and daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Larry Reichenau. Also surviving are her sisters, Geneva (Bo) Malone of Lubbock and Barbara Irby of Kerrville. Brothers left to remember her are Jack Conner of Lubbock and Vernon (Brenda) Conner of San Angelo.\r\n\r\nPolly's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the lights of her life. They include Mandy Hardin and her children, Dackota, Weslyn, Kaileigh and Rebel; Misty (Dustin) Kothe and their children Harper and Macy; and Brandon, Jordan and Clayton Reichenau. They will always cherish their Nanno and all the wonderful memories they made! Saundra Briley, Donetta Ray, Michelle and Milissa Irby (children of Barbara Irby) grew up like grandchildren with their Paudene (Polly) and Uncle Don. In addition, Polly was like a grandmother to so many others including Dana and Larry Wayne Reichenau, Amy and Paloma Echeverria, Luis and Rafael, and Skip and Brooke Lesly.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be 5-7 PM Monday, May 2, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\nFuneral Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville with the Rev. Robert Lockaby officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Dackota McCain, Dustin Kothe, Larry Wayne Reichenau, Francisco Echeverria, Howard Hood, Jeff Hood and Rusty Heirholzer.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal School in Kerrville.\r\n\r\nThe family thanks Dr. James Young and Lesa Davis with Peterson Hospice.\r\n\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n
