Paul Ashby

Paul J. Ashby passed away in Kerrville, Texas on May 16, 2016. Mr. Ashby was the eldest son of the late Earl and Alice (Jeffers) Ashby. He was born March 23, 1928 in Gatesville, Texas.\r\n \r\nPaul met Eleanor Marie Blair in Gatesville and they married February 3, 1945.\r\n \r\nPaul graduated from Gatesville High School and Southern Methodist University. His career with Mobil Oil Corporation spanned over 40 years.\r\n \r\nMr. Ashby retired to Horseshoe Bay, Texas and then moved to Kerrville in 2007.\r\n \r\nPaul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor in 2008; and his son, Wendell Ashby in 2014.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by one brother, Bill Ashby of The Woodlands, Texas; son, Jerry and wife, Sharon Ashby of Kerrville, Texas; son, Randy and wife, Mary Ashby of Clearlake, Texas; son, Doug and wife, Cindy Ashby of Prosper, Texas; and daughter in law, Tina, wife of Wendell Ashby. Paul was revered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nA memorial service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, officiated by Rev. Ryan Barnett. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, a memorial to the charity of your choice is appreciated.\r\n
