Patricia Conner Toalson Cornelius was born on May 4, 1930 in San Antonio, TX to John and Clara Zigmond Conner, and passed away on March 28, 2020 in Kerrville, TX.\r\n\r\nPat taught school for 30 years. She worked very hard to earn her teaching degree; she would have been the first to tell you, that she did so, with the help of her sister Mary, to whom she was very grateful. \r\n\r\nPat married Gladford Toalson, Jr. They lived and taught school in Charlotte, TX for many years. They had three children, Judy, Jim and Joye.\r\n \r\nDuring their summers they traveled the U. S. and continued to do so throughout their marriage. When they retired, they moved to Medina, TX, where they owned their "little piece of heaven", as they fondly called it. Sadly, Gladford passed away in 1995. \r\n \r\nSeveral years later, Pat met and married Harley Cornelius, they too spent much time traveling the U. S. and Europe. Besides spending time with her grandbabies, traveling was one of her greatest joys. She was richly blessed to have married two wonderful men, who shared her love of family and travel.\r\n\r\nPat was preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Conner; first husband Gladford Toalson, Jr.; and second husband Harley Cornelius; her son Jim Toalson; son-in-law James Robey; her father and mother-in-law Gladford Toalson, Sr. and wife Essie; her brothers John and wife Helen, Joe, Paul and Mike Conner; brothers-in-law Harold Zirkel and Don Toalson; her sisters Cecelia Conner, Lucille Howard and husband Beran; and sister-in-law Iris Toalson Formby.\r\n\r\nPat is survived by her daughters Judy Toalson Robey and Joye Toalson Vrana and husband Louis, Jr.; her sister Mary Zirkel; sisters-in-law Elaine Conner and Mittie Toalson; brother-in-law Clyde Formby; grandchildren Kristen Vrana Yarbrough and husband Chris, Amanda Vrana Van DeWalle and husband Brian, Louis Vrana, III, Elizabeth Robey, Samantha Robey and Jennifer Robey; great-grandchildren Bret, Ryan, and Allie Yarbrough; Colin and Lucas Van DeWalle. Mom received the very best of care and we are truly thankful to you all. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation in Pat's name please do so to the First United Methodist Church, Kerrville; the American Cancer Society or any charity of your choosing.
