PANSY "PAT" PRICE MAYFIELD\r\n\r\nPansy "Pat" Price Mayfield went home to her Lord peacefully at home on June 6, 2018, in Bandera, Texas, after a long struggle with Alzheimers. She was born in Ben Wheeler, Texas, on February 4, 1920, to Woodville and Viola Wilson. \r\n\r\nShe grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Brackenridge High School. She moved to Bandera with her husband Glen Price in 1961, and worked as a legal secretary to the firm of Darden and Wehmeyer until her retirement. She lived a full and happy life, enjoying traveling, rock collecting, and being with her grandchildren. Pat was a member of First Baptist Church of Bandera and the Order of the Eastern Star of Bandera, Chapter 643, where she served as Worthy Matron in 1968-69. She also served on the City Council in the late 70's and was a member of the Business Women's Council. She was married to Glen until his death in 1987, and after a friend introduced them a few years later, she married Wilmer Mayfield.\r\n\r\nAfter both were widowed, she and her best friend Dorothy Darden traveled the world together, seeing many countries and enjoying the sights and cultures.\r\n\r\nPat was preceded in death by her husband Glen L. Price, second husband Wilmer Mayfield, son Glen Richard Price, her parents and a sister and two brothers. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Marilynn Glasscock of San Antonio, granddaughters Dawn Coleman (Michael, deceased), Janet Heilman (Eric), and great-grandchildren, Katherine Coleman, Kevin Coleman, Reagan Heilman, Paige Heilman, and Grayson Heilman, nieces and nephews and her many friends.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas, with Pastor David Collett and Deacon Bob Preston of First Baptist Church officiating, followed by burial in Bandera Cemetary.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to The Order of The Eastern Star of Bandera, Chap.643, or the Building Fund for First Baptist Church of Bandera. \r\nPat's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Karen Ingram, who was Pat's faithful and loving caregiver, along with Barbara Moffett, Tina Wright, and Sandra Ingram, without whom in her final years she would not have been so well loved and cared for.
