Pamela Keen

April 26, 1943 — November 17, 2015

Pamela Cooke Keen, age 72, of Boerne, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 after eight years of fighting cancer. She was born on April 26, 1943 in Washington D.C. to George Marshall and Elizabeth Rice Cooke. On August 6, 1966, she married William H. Keen, Jr., in Kilmarnock, Virginia. \r\n \r\nPamela graduated from Lancaster High School in Kilmarnock, Virginia and then went on to graduate from The College of William & Mary with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught 2nd grade in Richmond, Virginia, Lamar Elementary in The Woodlands, Texas and Kendall Elementary in Boerne. She truly loved her students and her fellow teachers.\r\n \r\nOf all her accomplishments she is most proud of her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, listening to country music and keeping up with her favorite sports teams. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by her husband, William H. Keen, Jr., of Boerne, Texas; daughters, Kimberly Keen Reynolds and husband Gregory Reynolds of Austin, Texas, and Amy Keen Rogers and husband Tony Rogers of McKinney, Texas; son, William H. Keen, III of Plano, Texas; and grandchildren, Peyton, Lindsey, and Graham Reynolds; and Ryan and Reese Rogers. \r\n \r\nShe will be missed by all that knew her and will be remembered for her kind heart and infectious smile. \r\n \r\nA special thanks to Dr. Steven Kalter and his wonderful and caring staff at The START Center for Cancer Care for their treatment and care for Pam during these past 8 years.\r\n \r\nA Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 1 PM, at the Center Point United Methodist Church, 118 Church St., Center Point, TX, 78010, with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, and/or the Center Point United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 530, Center Point, TX, 78010.
