Pamela Bell Hatzenbuehler passed away on April 17, 2020 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born October 30, 1936 in Ft. Worth, Texas to John James and Mary Mathis Bell. She was married to Kenneth Marion Hatzenbuehler of San Antonio, Texas, from August 27, 1960 until he passed away March 23, 2006. They met when both worked for Hearst Advertising department of the San Antonio Light newspaper. After marriage and moving to Del Rio and San Antonio, where he worked for J. C. Penney, then Bealls in Laredo, they moved to Eagle Pass, TX where they owned and operated, The Fashion Place, a ladies ready-to-wear store. After moving to Port Aransas in 1984 they again owned and operated a ladies ready-to-wear store, Sandcastle Fashions. \r\n\r\nPam graduated Thomas Jefferson High School, San Antonio (1954), San Antonio College (1956) and, formerly Texas A&I University, Kingsville, Texas (1958) with a BBA degree. They had two daughters, Lisa in 1962 and Mia in 1968. They lived in Del Rio, Laredo, San Antonio, and Eagle Pass, where she taught Vocational Office Education at Eagle Pass High School for 10+ years. When they moved to Port Aransas in 1984, she worked as City Manager's secretary and later the Deputy City Secretary. She retired after 27 years of service with the City of Port Aransas and was currently living in Kerrville, TX. \r\n \r\nIn her retirement she enjoyed many mornings of caramel cappuccino and the Tennis Channel, afternoons at the Flat Rock Dog Park and evenings with a glass of wine on the porch. She was a lover of all animals, but especially dogs. Her days with Cleo, Skye and Olive and visits from Gypsy and Blue and the never-ending ball throwing for "her Sammie" were some of the best times ever. As a result, for her love of dogs she was adamant about donating her pacemaker to a program that would help dogs. We are thankful to the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine for accepting our donation.\r\n\r\nPam is survived by daughters Lisa Ann Steward (Worth) of Taos, NM, and Mia Hatzenbuehler Teague, (Alan), and granddaughter Bailey Ann Teague of Kerrville, TX.
