Norman John Straumann, age 83 of Ingram, went to join his Lord on October 1, 2017. Blest be his memory. \r\n \r\nHe was born November 3, 1933 to Ben and Helena (Trebesh) Straumann in Wabasso, Minnesota. They later moved to a farm in Springfield, Minnesota. He attended country school and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.\r\n \r\nHe served his country during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. \r\n \r\nOn September 17, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Drexler at the Church of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, Minnesota. To this union, four children were born. In 1959, they moved to a farm near Cosmos, Minnesota. After retiring, Marge and Norm moved to Ingram, Texas in 2010 to be close to their children. They were each other's care givers and best friends for over 60 years.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by son, Todd Arthur Straumann; sister and brother-in-law, Arline and Gene Zweiner; and brother-in-law, Darwin Pautzke.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by wife, Marjorie Straumann of Ingram; children, Shelley Beth John and husband, David of Ingram, Texas, Scott Lee Straumann and wife, Christina of Fairacres, New Mexico and David Straumann of Center Point, Texas; grandchildren, Tara Sylvester of Ingram, John Sylvester and wife, Shelby and their son, Xander of New Braunfels, Texas, Jared Straumann and daughter, Bella of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Justin Straumann and wife, Nakita and their children, Bradyn, Evelyn and Emma of Silverdale, Washington, Josh Arnt and daughter, Lauren of Mukilteo, Washington and Chase Malcolm Straumann of Lebanon, Tennessee; siblings, Robert Straumann and wife, Pat of Cosmos, Minnesota and Lucille Pautzke of Grove City, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Florian Drexler and wife, Vivian of Gettysburg, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Father David Wagner and Pastor Joseph Fegenbush. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 115 Doris Drive in Kerrville with lunch provided by the Daughters of Notre Dame.\r\n \r\nThank you for your presence and prayers and your friendship.
