Norman Joel Stephens, 88 years old, of Boerne, Tx, passed away on 24 December 2023. He was born in Edinburg, Tx to Cecil Vernon Stephens and Maggie Jerusha Stephens on 20 February 1935. He was married to Mary Carolyn Stephens on 22 December 1958 in Edinburg, Tx.
He went to high school in Edinburg, Tx and graduated from Texas A&M in College Station, Tx in 1955. He worked as an entomologist for several companies including Monsanto, Riverside, and Duda. Norman later farmed in the Rio Grande Valley. He was involved in Gideon, the Methodist Church, and Free Masons.
Norman is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Carolyn Stephens.
Norman is survived by his three children Leslie Dean Stephens, Byron Stewart Stephens, and Carolyn Jo Stephens, his six grandchildren Cody Ryan Stephens, Jacob Shain Stephens, Connor Daniel Smotzer, Brenna Ann Smotzer, Casey Morgan Stephens, and Mark Avery Stephens, and his two great grandchildren Hayden Lynn Stephens and Tristan Gene Stephens.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, 30 December 2023 at Dobyville Historic Cemetery with Bill Stegmueller of Medina Community Church officiating.
