Norman William Lang of Kerrville passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Kerrville VA Hospital. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.\r\n \r\nHe was born May 23, 1934 in Longwood, Wisconsin to Opal Gladys Looker and Edwin Ralph Lang. He was number 5 of 8 children. He grew up on the farm and learned how to do everything needed for a good home.\r\n \r\nNorm used all that knowledge to remodel beautiful and useful homes. He was always happy to help friends and neighbors with home repairs and improvements.\r\n \r\nHe started college at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. The Korean War interrupted his education. After his discharge from the Army, he continued at River Falls earning a four year Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts.\r\n \r\nNorm married Patsy Ann Fischer. They followed family members moving to California and enjoyed a very active life with their four children.\r\n \r\nOn November 16, 1985, Norm married Linda Mary Milam. When he was in the midst of changing jobs, he said he really wanted to travel full-time in their Monaco motorhome. They stayed on the road for 12 years until they fell in love with The Wilderness and Kerrville.\r\n \r\nNorm is survived by his loving family: wife, Linda; son, Scott Lang and wife, Jan; daughter, Julene Kostszewa and husband, Rick; son, Steven Lang and wife, Connie; daughter, Mona Childress; step-son, James Milam and wife, Louann; grandchildren, Michelle, Cathy, Mathew, Mark, Anthony, Kevin, Becky, Micheal, Jeremy, Jade and Allie; and 15 great-grandchildren.\r\n \r\nOur family wishes to thank the VA Home Base Health Care and the staff of the Kerrville VA Hospital for the wonderful care and support given to Norm and Linda. Also, we would like to thank Brookdale on Leslie Drive for making Norm feel like he was important to them. \r\n
