Norman Ray Giles, 74 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born in San Diego, CA to Herman O. Giles and Wyona Jones Giles on January 14, 1944. On March 13, 1970, he married Kay Taylor in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nNorman worked as a butcher for 45 years. He was a member of Riverside Church of Christ.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Herman O. Giles and Wyona Jones Giles.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Kay; son, Eddie and his wife Kristi; daughter, Donna and her fiancé David Rogers; and by Taylor Lucas Giles, his only grandchild and the light of his Pappy's life. He is also survived by beloved siblings, Herman Giles Jr., Shira Penick, Sandy Modgling, Linda Roumillat, and John W. Giles; brother-in-law, Roy Dewayne Taylor; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 6, 2018 at Riverside Church of Christ officiated by Kevin Kasparek.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Riverside Church of Christ or to a charity of your choice.\r\n
