Nina Beth (Lee) Bird of Kerrville Texas passed away on September 26, 2019. She was born July 17, 1930 in Kerrville Texas to Abby (Brashear) Lee and Pink Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harvie Bird Jr. She graduated from Tivy High School in 1948. She was one of the first telephone operators for Hill Country Telephone Co-op when the offices were located on the Old Ingram Loop. She worked for many years as a Drivers License Clerk for the Texas Department of Public Safety in Kerrville Texas. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.\r\n\r\nNina Beth was a very creative lady who also possessed An incredible green thumb. Even her neighbors would comment on the profusion of her beautiful plants. She had quite a way with a paintbrush, gifting her grandchildren with festive hand painted shirts for many of the holidays. She was a talented seamstress, even mastering creations from her treadle sewing machine. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing with her husband on their frequent fishing trips. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Nicole Bird.\r\n\r\nNina Beth is survived by her children Gary Bird (Tamara), Bobby Bird (Nancy), and Nina Jean Bird; grandchildren, Bryan Bird (Lisa), Megan Klein (BJ), Nathan Bird (Chelsie), and Ryan King (Katy); plus 5 great grandchildren. All of these she loved and touched deeply.\r\n\r\nGraveside services at Nichols Cemetery will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10:30am. \r\n\r\nJohn 14:3 - "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am". \r\n
