Neil Snavley, 83, of Pipe Creek, TX, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 26, 2015. \r\n\r\nNeil was born in Warren, PA to Martin and Nellie Snavley on November 8, 1931. Neil spent his boyhood days on a small farm at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains of Northwestern PA in Grand Valley. He attended a one-room school through the 8th grade. In high school he was bussed into the small town of Titusville and in his freshman year met his High School Sweetheart and future wife, Clara Wisniewski. Neil and Clara married in Titusville on November 24, 1951. \r\n\r\nNeil worked as a Field Service Engineer for Honeywell for 38 years. This position required extensive travel in the United States and at times distant world locations. Neil was very adept at mechanics and engineering and developed turbine engines. Neil was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Air Force. \r\n\r\nNeil is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Vernon Snavley.\r\n\r\nNeil is survived by his spouse, Clara, children, Ronald Snavley, Deidra and Patrick Mitchell, Rodger Snavley and Lavonne Snavley. Grandchildren include Ryan and Angela Mitchell, Shane Mitchell, Neil Anthony Mitchell and Allen French. \r\n\r\nNeil considered his relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ to be the most important in his life.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be 6 - 8 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 10 a. m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Hill Country Chapel with Mr. Rusty Fox officiating. Reception will follow at the Dining Hall on site of Hill Country Chapel. Burial will be at the Pipe Creek Cemetary.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be sons, Ronald Snavley, Rodger Snavley and grandsons, Ryan Mitchell, Shane Mitchell, Neil Anthony Mitchell and Allen French.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Hill Country Chapel.
