Naomi Barker, 83, of Kerrville passed away on December 28, 2015. She was born in Pontotoc, Texas to Ross and Mary Perry on August 14, 1932 and grew up in Cherokee, Texas. She graduated from Cherokee High School. She was proud of her family and was a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her extended family was also important to her. She spent many hours working on her family histories, visiting with her grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles and passing their stories on. Naomi was a long time member of the Kerrville First United Methodist Church and involved in many activities with the church and her friends.\r\n \r\nNaomi is survived by her two daughters, Ranita Nunn of Austin, Brenda and her husband, Russell Ressmann of Hunt; two grandchildren, Amy Nunn of Austin, Hunter and his wife, Samantha Rathke of Kerrville; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Chisholm of Austin and Jos Rathke of Kerrville; one brother, Wayland Perry of Cherokee and many nieces and nephews and other family members. \r\n \r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville. Viewing and visitation will precede the service at 9 am. Graveside services and burial will be at 3 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Cherokee Hannah Cemetery, Cherokee, Texas. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Peterson Hospice of Kerrville or the charity of your choice.
