Nancy Wilbourn, 82, of Kerrville passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 in Kerrville. She was born in Galveston, Texas to Dr. Joe and Jeanette Dennis on December 23, 1936. She married Ed Wilbourn in August 1959. \r\n\r\nAt age 2, Nancy moved with her parents to Lubbock, Texas where her father became a professor at Texas Tech. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1955 in the same class as Buddy Holly and where she was active in several organizations and clubs. Nancy went on to Austin College in Sherman, where she met her future husband and graduated with a degree in English.\r\n\r\nIn the mid 70s, Nancy began work in the office of First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville, where she retired in 1999 after 24 years of service. \r\n\r\nNancy was a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs and rarely missed a televised game. She also loved animals, especially cats, many of which adopted her over the years.\r\n\r\nNancy was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Jeanette Dennis and her husband, Ed Wilbourn. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her son, Robert Wilbourn and his wife Theresa Taparauskas; daughter, Linda Wilbourn; sisters, Linda Price and Susie Robbins; grandson, Eric Moore; the remaining two members of the Triumvirate, Cora Belle Nunn and Barbara Doan, as well as 4 cats.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church sanctuary with Rev. Dr. Rob Lohmeyer officiating. The family requests that those attending to please wear bright colors. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Nancy's name to Freeman Fritts Animal Shelter at 515 Spur 100, Kerrville. \r\n\r\n
