Our beloved mother, aunt and friend, Nancy L. Kleis, died Tuesday the 24th of November 2015 at The Hospice of Baton Rouge Louisiana Medical Center while visiting her niece Lauralie Hogan (Baton Rouge, LA).\r\n \r\nNancy was a long-time resident of the San Antonio and Kerrville, Texas areas. She was born in 1934 in Donaldsonville, LA. Nancy was a dog groomer and home maker. She was known for her giving to family, friends and acquaintances. She was a great cook, loved socializing, enjoyed spending time with family and relatives, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. \r\n \r\nNancy is preceded in death by her husband C. Frederick Kleis, her son Fred Kleis and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, John Kleis (Scottsville, KY), Kurt Kleis (San Antonio, TX), Robert Kleis (North Port, FL) and Mike Kleis (Loganville, GA). Nancy also has one surviving brother Donald Landaiche of Donaldsonville, LA. She also enjoyed time with her seven grandchildren, Jessica Cochran (Louisville, KY), Matthew Kleis (St. Matthews, KY), Kristyn Thompson (Silverdale, WA), Kody Kleis (San Antonio, TX), Christopher Kleis (Tampa, FL), Makayla Kleis and Kaleb Kleis (Loganville, GA). Nancy had two great grandchildren, Jack Cochran (Louisville, KY) and Kynadee Thompson (Silverdale, WA). \r\n \r\nA visitation was held at the Greenoaks Funeral Home (Baton Rouge, LA) on November 27. A visitation will also be held from 3-5 PM, Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels (Kerrville, TX). Private burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.\r\n
