Nancy Ann May Dosdall went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the age of 80 years. She was born on March 13, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas. \r\n \r\nShe got her first job with AT&T at the age of 18. She later worked for American General Insurance Company and retired from there. \r\n \r\nNancy came to know Christ as her Savior at an early age and valued her relationship with Jesus and with fellow believers. She attended Central Baptist Church in San Antonio. After moving to Kerrville, she was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Nancy cherished family and friends. She was known by all for her sweet spirit and kind heart. Prior to her illness, she brought meals to shut-ins and took time each morning to write an encouraging note to someone or to make an encouraging call. After her stroke, although she lost her ability to drive, live independently, and even to speak or write well, she retained her joyful heart and sweet spirit. She loved to socialize, and she participated in church and family events as an active listener. She greeted visitors with bright eyes and a radiant smile. When asked if she was thinking happy thoughts, she would almost always nod, Yes.\r\n \r\nNancy was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd V. Dosdall; parents, Richard A. May and Talitha Zelma Wise May; and one brother, Robert O. May. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by children: Rosemary Jones and husband Grant, and Gerald Dosdall and wife LaDena; grandchildren: A. Aaron Hord (Beth), Bethany Newell (Cliff), Lindsey Long (Grant), Wesley Dosdall, Kristin Hinson (Kurt) and Eric Hord; one great-grandchild and another expected; brothers: Richard T. May and wife Zelpha, Douglas C. May Sr. and wife Nan; sister-in-law: Donna L. May, nieces: Deborah Hood (Darrell), Dianne Flores (George), and Donna Vasquez (David); nephews: Clay May and Thomas May; foster-daughter: Jeanette Weise-Reeder (Will); and many extended family members and friends.\r\n \r\nNancy will be out for viewing all day on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Mac McCoy. Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in San Antonio. \r\n \r\n\r\n
