Myrtle Wood

Myrtle Kott Wood, age 86 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born April 10, 1928 in Kerrville to Hilmer and Ida (Grona) Kott. On February 14, 1948, she married Royce B. Wood in Dallas.\r\n \r\nMyrtle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved her Spurs and Cowboys, crossword puzzles and bowling in her earlier years. \r\n \r\nShe loved her family and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Royce; son, Randall Wood; four sisters; three brothers; and one great grandson.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include daughters, Gaye Lowrey and husband, Mike of Kerrville and Karen McGough of Bryan, TX; sons, Rex Wood and wife, Paula of Grapevine, TX and Ron Wood and wife, Eileen of Athens, TX; brother, James Kott of Anderson, TX; sister in law, Myra Holcombe of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nServices will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, 10 AM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Mike Williams. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
