Minerva Garcia, 71, of Bandera, passed away on February 3rd, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico to Minerva and Pablo Mendoza on December 13, 1949. She married Marlin Kedrowski on August 6th, 1984.\r\n\r\nMinerva went to Providence High School and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Bachelor of Arts. She worked as an Art Teacher in SAISD for the duration of 25+ teaching career and then continued as a consultant with the district until 2020. \r\n\r\nMinerva was a woman of many talents. She drove horse carriages, grew plants, and devoured books. She taught kids to fish, tube, and kayak down the Medina river and ride horses in her back yard. Minerva was a confidant and prankster with her siblings, Terry, Lupe, Mary, Dina, and Paul. She and her husband Marlin enjoyed living at the River's edge, taking part in the Comanche Cliffs community, and the yearly Cowboy Capitol trail ride. She loved her sunshine and moon and her reason for breathing. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling anywhere her daughter dragged her, and especially detours to a casino.\r\n\r\nMinerva is preceded in death by her husband Marlin, her parents, Minerva and Pablo Mendoza, her horse Orion, her dogs Summer, Eb, Roxane, Faye, and Bella, and numerous cats.\r\n\r\nMinerva is survived by her daughter, Monica, her siblings Terry, Lupe, Mary, Dina, and Paul.\r\n\r\nThere will be no traditional services.\r\n\r\nThe family invites you to send condolences at www.grimesfuneralchapels.com by selecting the "Send Condolences" link.\r\n
