Milton F. "Buddy" Hargrove, age 95 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born in Bishop, Texas on February 11, 1923 to John Alexander Hargrove and Rose (Harned) Hargrove.\r\n\r\nHe served in World War II in North Africa for 25 months where he flew 7 missions as a B-17 tail gunner and crew chief with the A.T.C. He was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps as a Tech Sergeant.\r\n\r\nAfter 33 years, he retired from the San Antonio City Public Service and moved to Kerrville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, and gardening. He was a master craftsman and jack of all trades.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Hargrove; and his youngest son, Richard Hargrove.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include son, Douglas Hargrove (Susan); daughter, Patricia Waters (Larry); granddaughter, Jennifer Waters; grandsons, Chris Waters, Irec Hargrove, and Kaleb Hargrove; 5 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Bear.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nServices will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Jerry Cosper. Interment will follow at Hunt Japonica Cemetery.\r\n\r\n\r\n
