Mildred "Millie" Markgraf, 85, of Center Point/San Antonio, Texas lost her battle with cancer June 9, 2015. She was born June 7, 1930 in San Antonio TX to George & Edythe Van Ness. \r\n\r\nShe attended San Antonio's Technical High School with dreams of pursuing a journalism career. Instead she married Edward Otto Markgraf and worked at Sears Roebuck to help support her family. They were members of St. Mary Magdalen's parish in San Antonio and later moved to the Hill Country near Center Point and joined St Stanislaus in Bandera Texas.\r\n\r\nShe was the glue that held our family together; her greatest joy in life was family together time. She is survived by a son Jeffrey (Jackie) Markgraf and daughters Melinda (Billy) Westerfield and Sandra Markgraf. 9 Grandchildren Brenda, Brian, Jared, Megan, Jessica, Brad, Brent, Eric, Veronica and 5 Great grandkids Brandon, Jordyn, Katie, Graeme & Kinsley.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be Sunday, June 14th, 4-9PM with a Holy Rosary Monday, June 15th, 7PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, TX 78003, 830.796.3922 \r\n\r\nFuneral mass will be held Tuesday, June 16th, at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father John Nolan officiating.
