Mildred Louise Karr-Sharp, age 79, was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 1, 2015, to be reunited with parents and family members who preceded her in death.Her parents were Jesse Lee Smith and Mildred Underwood. Louise was born in Smithville, Texas, on June 8, 1935. She passed away peacefully in her home in the presence of her husband Phil Sharp.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her sons, Steven Cumbie and wife, Toni of Weatherford, TX, and Kenneth Huckabee and wife, Patricia of Pipe Creek, TX, and by her daughters Rebecca Underwood and husband, Paul of Corpus Christi, TX, Karen Pendergast and husband, Mike of Newark, TX, and Jessica Taylor of Dripping Springs, TX. She also leaves behind her thirteen precious grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nLouise served Bandera County as Justice of the Peace for three years, as a member of the Bandera County Appraisal District, as a past Republican Precinct Chairman, as a member of the Bandera County Republican Women's Organization, as a member of the Bandera ISD Facilities Citizens Advisory Team, as an associate member of the Bandera County Peace Officers' Association, and she supported the Bandera County Youth Rodeo, the Lakehills American Legion Auxiliary, the Medina Lake Betterment Association, the Median and Bandera Parent Teachers Organizations, the Bandera County Fair, and the Lakehills United Methodist Church.\r\n\r\nShe was also the director of the Battered Women's Shelter, an MHMR assistant, a public aid case worker, family case worker, resort ranch manager, and restaurant owner/manager.\r\n\r\nLouise was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved her Lord. \r\n\r\nFamily visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2015, 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 9:00 AM. by Grimes Funeral Home, Bandera.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
