Mildred L. Gutz passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in a New Braunfels care center following health issues. She was 88 years old.\r\n\r\nMildred Louise was born January 3, 1931 to Mildred E. Slocombe Robertson and Frederick A. Robertson in New Haven, Connecticut. The family moved to Texas when she was a teenager. Mildred graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. She was united in marriage to Lester W. Gutz on December 29, 1950. In 1986 she and Lester moved to Lakehills. Mildred served God as a faithful member of Lakehills United Methodist Church. She was also a devoted choir member and a supporter of the Lakehills Library.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lester. Survivors include her daughters Susan Dustin and Mary Madison; her sons Richard Gutz and John Gutz and his wife Helen; her brother Fred Robertson; her grandchildren Rebecca Marshall, Amanda Everheart-Gutz, Shannon Gutz and Lucas Gutz; her great grandchildren William Ancira and Kaiden Marshall; also nieces and nephews, extended family members and treasured friends. Mildred was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grand mother and friend and will be missed.\r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held at Lakehills United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 12, 2014 at 4:00 P.M., Pastor Celia Halfacre officiating.
