Michael Owens

Michael Edward Owens "Smiley," age 62 of Bandera passed away on June 19, 2015 at his home in Holiday Villages, Bandera, TX. He was born in Baytown, TX to Eugene and Opal Owens on April 11, 1953. He married Linda Deatherage, "Goldie," on October 12, 1978 at Dell DellAvenue Baptist Church.\r\n \r\nHe went to school in Channelview, TX. He was self employed as a carpenter for 35 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps which he was very proud of. \r\n \r\nMichael is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Opal Owens.\r\n \r\nMichael is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Brian Owens, Crystal Owens, Traci and Dan Bryant; brothers, Glen, Jimmy, and Kenny Owens; grandchildren, Kaynin McMurtry, Toryn Winfrey, Rebekah, Jeremiah, and Joshua Owens; great-grandchild, Paisley Jean Owens.\r\n \r\nA Celebration of Life service will be held at the Holiday Villages Clubhouse at 5:30PM on July 2, 2015.
