Melanye Lynn Hallett of Kerrville, Texas passed away on July 21, 2015 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Kerrville, Texas to Melburn Hardin and Carol McLaughlin Hardin on March 7, 1962. She married Ted Hallett on May 1, 1993 in Chino, California.\r\n \r\nOne of Melanye's greatest passions and gifts was music. As an accomplished vocalist, she had the opportunity to share her talent in many different venues. She traveled the United States and Europe with the Continental Singers in the early 1980's.\r\n \r\nMelanye graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and completed her teaching credential at Chapman University. She was able to utilize her talents and skills as a teacher with Chino Hills High School and Rainbow Advanced Institute Charter School. She was actively involved in grade school and theatre ministry with Inland Community Church/Mosaic in Chino, California, as well as VantagePoint Church in Eastvale, California.\r\n \r\nMelanye was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Hardin. Melanye is survived by her husband, Ted Hallett, their children Olivia and Hunter, her brother Matt Hardin, his wife Kelly and their children Jessica and Justin, her sister Alyson Foster and her children Courtney and McKenna, her step brother Tom Alexander and his children Carson and Caty, her father Melburn Hardin, and his wife Barbara.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville Texas, with Dr. Bryan Richardson of First Baptist Church, San Antonio officiating.\r\n \r\nMelanye's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Jim Young, the staff of Peterson Regional Medical Center, Sunrise Baptist Church and all the special friends and family that helped during her illness.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
