May Janetta Manning was born to the late Emmett and Elizabeth Holden in Hondo, Texas. May accepted Christ at an early age in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n \r\nShe moved to El Paso, Texas where she graduated from El Paso High School upon returning to Kerrville, Texas. She met and married Hermon Hardemon. One Son was born, Hermon L. Hardemon. She worked as a nurse in various settings and private duty.\r\n \r\nIn 1972, she married the late Rev H.L. Manning and she gained two additional sons, Clarence Manning and Shawn Manning. She remained a faithful Baptist church member until her health began to fail.\r\n \r\nMay Janetta was a supportive and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.\r\n \r\nShe leaves her cherished memory to Hermon L. Hardemon, Clarence Manning, and Shawn Manning; sister, Beatrice Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all other relatives.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be from 4-6 PM, Friday, May 5, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nServices will be held 10 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with burial to follow at Garden of Memories North Cemetery.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Grimes Funeral Chapels. \r\n \r\nThe family of May Janetta Manning wishes to thank Alpine Terrace Nursing Facility and Gentiva Hospice, around the clock MD's, nurses and staff.\r\n
