Matthew Cabello, 17, passed away unexpectedly as a result of injuries sustained when a motor vehicle struck him on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on September 20, 2000 in Laredo, TX and had been residing in Kerrville, TX since 2010.\r\n \r\nMatthew was a Junior at Tivy High School and was eagerly looking forward to his Senior year and Graduating in 2019. Matthew was planning on attending UTI in Dallas and becoming an F1 Racing Technician. \r\n \r\nMatthew was dedicated and worked at McDonald's to help his mom and sister. He dreamed that by working so hard he could pay for his college expenses. \r\n \r\nMatthew is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Moreno, siblings Alyssa Alvarez, Vanessa and Kathryn Cabello and Lora Lee Paige. He is also survived by his grandmothers Graciela Brophy (Roberto Sosa) and Leila Montes, uncles Eddie (Darlene) Moreno, David Moreno and aunts Sandra Moreno and Marie Mercado, Jorge (Sandra) Montes, Juan Montes, Esther Montes (Eduardo) and cousins Mayla, Erika, Aileen, Gracie Moreno, Adam and Paty Rocha, Jazmine and Gabriela Castillo and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. \r\n \r\nHe is preceded in death by his great grandmothers Herminia Galvan Galindo, great grandfather William Ueckert, his grandfather Guadalupe Moreno and his uncle Oscar Antonio Galindo. \r\n \r\nHe will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call him son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and dear friend.\r\n \r\nThe Moreno family will be receiving family and friends at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from Noon to 3 pm.
