Mary Elizabeth Jost Myers passed away on August 31, 2015, at home surrounded by her children.\r\n \r\nElizabeth was born January 26, 1918, in Pekin, Illinois, to Henry and Mary Louise Koobs Jost. She grew up and graduated from high school in Delavan, Illinois. She married Michael S Myers on September 11, 1937. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2008.\r\n \r\nTo that marriage were born four children: Jo Beth Galloway, San Antonio, Thomas Myers (Karen), Kerrville, Mary Ann Myers (Steve), Kerrville, and Janet Louise Syphrett (Charlie), Kerrville. Other survivors are six grandsons: Gregg Myers (Angela), Rod Myers, Chris Myers, Wes Galloway (Michelle), Erik VanDivier (Vanessa), Bryan VanDivier (Jennifer), one granddaughter, Dr. Amanda Myers (Verlinda), five great-grandsons: Logan, Peyton, Regan and Ethan Myers, Hugh Galloway, Stellan VanDivier, and three great-grand daughters, Morgan and Mallory Myers and Olive VanDivier. She is survived by two sisters, Lillian Stumbaugh Winegarder and Dianne Stumbaugh Stephens, two sisters-in-law, Lois Jost and Dorothy Jost, and many nieces and nephews. \r\n \r\nElizabeth was preceded in death by two brothers, W.B. Jost and Carl Jost, and one sister, Sara Katherine Stumbaugh Morgan.\r\n\r\nShe loved her family so much; they were her life. She worked with her husband in all of his businesses and devoted her life to caring for him, her children and grandchildren. \r\n \r\nIn addition to her family, she cared for her country and the Lord. She received wings for her volunteer work during World War II as an enemy plane spotter. She was a member of the Kerrville Seventh-day Adventist Church where she served in many capacities including as the church treasurer for 25 years and as member of the building committee.\r\n \r\nInterment will be at a later date at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Kerrville, Texas.
