Born January 18, 1921 in Rocksprings, Texas, Mary B Hartman, 98, passed away peacefully at Hilltop Village in Kerrville, Texas, Saturday evening March 30, 2019.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in passing by her husband of 69 years, Reuben in 2012. Mary B and Reuben met at Schreiner Institute (Schreiner University) while they were students. Mary B was the 1939 Rocksprings High School valedictorian. They married June 20, 1943. Both Mary B and Reuben were members of First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville.\r\n\r\nDuring WW II, Mary B worked for the Civil Service and later returned to Kerrville to work for The VA Hospital where she was secretary to the Chief of Staff. \r\n\r\nShe enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs. Mary B and Reuben spent their later years traveling and visiting various places in their motor home. \r\n\r\nMary B is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne of Austin; son, Robert and wife, Jennifer of Kerrville; brother, Lt. Col. James Lockley and wife, Nellie of San Antonio; nieces, Linda Lockley of San Antonio and Carol Lockley of Austin; nephew, Jim Lockley and wife, Sunshine of Richardson, Texas; as well as numerous nephews, great nieces and great nephews.\r\n\r\nThere will be a viewing Wednesday, April 3, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be Saturday, April 6, 10:00 AM at the Garden of Memories in Kerrville.\r\n
