Mary Louise Bartels, 92, of Kerrville, passed away on January 5, 2018. She was born in Houston, Texas to Philip L. Brehm and Mary Rieger Brehm on July 29, 1925.\r\n\r\nMary graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston. She moved to Kerrville in 1964. She developed a passion for bowling where she made many long lasting friendships. She participated in 40 Texas Women's Bowling Association championship tournaments with her friends and teammates.\r\n\r\nMary is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rieger Brehm, her father, Philip Brehm, a sister, Helen Stewart, a brother, Eugene Brehm, and a grandson, William Beaver.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her son, Bill Bartels and wife Donna, her daughter Linda Beaver and husband Jeff, her Granddaughters, Meredith Beaver and Lindsay Bartels Bean, great Grandson, Jack Walker Bean and many nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nThere will be no visitation or funeral service at Mary's request.\r\nMemorials may be given to Hill Country Youth Ranch at 3522 Junction Highway, Ingram, Texas 78025.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, the ICU staff at Sid Peterson Hospital and caregivers at Peterson Hospice.\r\n\r\n
