Martha Lou Hinds (Greber, Crawford) passed away peacefully on April 17th in Kerrville after a year-long battle with acute myeloid leukemia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eula Lee Greber. She is survived by her daughter Patty, her husband David Malin and their son Eddie of Crofton, Maryland; son James Crawford and his children Michael and Heather of Rosenberg, Texas; her husband William Hinds of Kerrville; her brother Jim Greber and his wife Barbara of Spring Branch; her sister Nancy and her husband Russ Stanley of Dallas, and her niece and nephews; Jennifer Enderlin of Bulverde, Ed Greber and his wife Susan of Wimberly, John Stanley and his wife Jennifer of Dallas; and her loving dog, Major, now of Spring Branch.\r\n\r\nShe leaves behind numerous friends who loved and laughed with her throughout her life. Martha was a fun loving spirit who loved her grandchildren and the happiness she found in the town of Kerrville. Active with the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville hand bell choir and workshop group (prior president), the Humane Society of Kerrville where she walked dogs regularly, bridge club, Zumba classes and her neighborhood group at The Summit. Martha stayed very busy before her AML diagnosis in April of 2014.\r\n\r\nBorn November 28, 1941 in St. Louis, Martha (a.k.a. Marty, Mard) moved around quite a bit as her father was transferred. New Jersey, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri were all homes before Martha headed to West Lafayette, Indiana to attend Purdue University in 1959 where she earned her BS in Economics. \r\n\r\nHer adult life was spent in Florida (where she raised her children), Arizona and Texas. She held office management and accounting positions with companies in Tampa, San Antonio, Green Valley, Arizona and Kerrville before finally officially retiring several years ago.\r\nShe is loved by so many, and will be terribly missed. Rest in peace, Martha. We love you so much.\r\n\r\nMemorial services for Martha will be held on Thursday April 23rd at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Kerrville located at 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 7802. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to First United Methodist Church of Kerrville Workshop Group, the Humane Society of Kerrville or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Martha's memory.\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
