Martha Bell

August 3, 1938 — May 30, 2016

Martha Elena Bell, age 77, of Kerrville, Texas passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at her residence. She was born August 3, 1938 in Mexico City (Distrito Federal), Mexico. On May 19, 1978 she married the love of her life James K. Bell (deceased) in Phoenix, Arizona.\r\n \r\nShe moved to the United States at 16, received her citizenship November 30, 1990 with the help of Senator John McCain. She was fortunate enough to dine in the White House on two occasions with President Ronald Reagan and President George Bush, Sr.\r\n \r\nMartha worked much of her career as an administrative assistant for Honeywell where she met her husband. She learned Cad/Cam, an engineering software, and ran her own business mainly helping engineers with the design of oil platforms; as well as a translation service, translating technical contracts from Spanish into English, with Shell Oil, Texaco and Honeywell as her major clients.\r\n \r\nBut mainly, she was a great "Mom," grandmother, great grandmother. She was always there for her family and helped them through any tough times. Everyone who met Martha loved and adored her. She was a kind and beautiful woman. She loved shopping at HEB where she could catch up on the latest gossip, playing with her little dog "Dottie," or running over, with her daughter, to have her nails done.\r\n \r\nShe loved God, her family and her Phoenix Cardinals.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Bell and her father, Pepe Hinojos.\r\n \r\nMartha is survived by her mother Martha, who turned 101 last month; her children; son, Serge Ryno and wife Oksana of Mountain Home, daughter, Jackie Thompson and husband Bill of Kerrville, son, Billy Ryno and wife Crystal of Harper; grandchildren, Tiffany Ryno, Max Oblogin, Vadym Oblogin, Rita Oblogina, Caleb Ryno, Kiefer Ryno and Payton Ryno; great grandchildren, Javier Flores, Sergio Flores, Eli Ryno, and Charlie Ryno.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held June 17, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, Texas.\r\n \r\nThe family wishes to send our special thanks to Dr. Fritsch, Dr. Chyle, Dr. Barrington, and especially Peterson Hospital and Hospice staff.\r\n
