Mark Allen Shaw, age 60 of Kerrville, TX passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Brookshire, TX. He was born to the parentage of Charles E. and Lois L Shaw, Sr. on January 18, 1958 in Refugio, TX. Mark was baptized at an early age at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Refugio by the late Dr. G.T. McBeth, whom he always followed around and called him McBeth. Mark graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville in 1976. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served honorably for three years. Upon discharge, he attended the Texas Parks and Wildlife Academy in Austin, TX and following graduation was employed several years as a Texas game warden. He continued in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff for Kerr County. In later years, Mark became a long-distance truck driver where he was employed by the J.B. Hunt Company.\r\n\r\nMark married Deborah Lewis of Kerrville, TX on July 10, 1983. To this union was born a son, Mark Anthony Shaw.\r\n\r\nMark was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Shaw, Sr.; a brother, Brian Erwin Shaw; his maternal grandparents, Levy W. and Thelma M. (Spriggs) Green; and, his paternal grandparents, Noel B. and Francis M. Shaw.\r\n\r\nMark leaves to mourn his passing his son, Mark Anthony (Sophie) of Houston, TX; his mother, Lois Shaw of Kerrville; two brothers, Charles E. Shaw, Jr. of Kerrville and Reginald Shaw of Victoria, TX; four sisters, Genise (Bill) Jackson of Kerrville, TX, Che'-lin Shaw of San Antonio, TX, Edwina (Leon) Horton of Houston, TX, and Lisa Shaw of Refugio, TX. He also leaves to mourn Debbie Shaw and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as friends.\r\n\r\nServices will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Randall Hilburn. Interment will be held at a later date.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Bill Jackson, Rudolph Wheatfall, Todd Hardee, Leon Horton, Norman Hosey and Frank Hosey.\r\n\r\nHonorary pallbearers will be Jaylen Lewis, Alex Jackson, Brian McIntosh and the Questers Sunday School Class.\r\n\r\n
