Mark Andrew Peterson was born in Kerrville, Texas on November 2, 1962 to Glen J Peterson and Laverne Hodges Peterson and died on March 29, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Boerne High School (class of ‘80) and received a degree in Political Science from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) in 1988.\r\n \r\nHe became a plumber/pipe fitter in 1996 and rose through the ranks to become the UAPP 142 Local President and taught hundreds of apprentices as a teacher in the apprentice program. \r\n \r\nHe was an active church and choir member at the Pipe Creek Presbyterian Church.\r\n \r\nMark's wife Marty predeceased him on September 10, 2014. He is survived by his son Sam Peterson, his son Eric Carter and wife Kim, his mother Laverne H. Peterson, his brother Jim Peterson and wife Suzi and their children Emily and Lilia, several uncles and numerous cousins.\r\n \r\nA former all Southwest Conference Rugby Player for Southwest Texas, he was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and friend to all who knew him.\r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera.
