Mark Ficker

Mark Edward Ficker, age 59, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Frankie Bailey, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.\r\n\r\nMark was born on March 20, 1959 in Kerrville, Texas to the late U.V. "Slim" Ficker and Silva Gean (Degal) Ficker. He graduated from Tivy High School in 1978 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He was a carpenter by trade, specializing in framing for home construction. Mark moved to Olney in 2003 from Kerrville and married Lydia Bailey White on April 23, 2004 in Olney. He was a loving son, brother and husband. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kent Ficker; his nephew, Aaron Gray; and father-in-law, Franklin Bailey.\r\n\r\nMark is survived by his wife, Lydia Ficker of Olney; three sisters, Patricia Gray and husband Charles, Tracy Ficker, and Porsha Schultz and husband Kerry; two brothers, Danny Ficker, Sr. and Ernest Ficker; mother-in-law, Doylene Bailey; brother-in-law, Frankie Bailey and wife, Becky; sister-in-law, Regina Damron and husband, James; nieces and nephews, Missy, Cody, Danny Jr., Cecil, Annette, Jerrod, Nicole, Kary, and James; and several great-nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nCondolences to the family may be made at www.lunnfuneralhome.com or www.grimesfuneralchapels.com. \r\n
