Marjorie Grace Cole Wilson went to be with the Lord December 29, 2016 in Kerrville, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 ½ years, Roy Wilson. Marjorie was born October 28, 1921 in Van Zandt County, TX the middle of three daughters of John W. Cole and Goldie Roberts Cole. The family moved to Dallas when she was 6 months old where she lived most of her life. Marjorie and Roy were married August 26, 1944 in Columbus, Kansas after he returned injured from WWII. They moved to Kerrville when he retired. They enjoyed a full life of gardening, traveling, hunting, fishing, and genealogy research. Marjorie was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the VFW and DAV Auxiliaries. \r\n \r\nMarjorie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Mansell and husband Douglas of Louisiana; her son, John Wilson; two grandsons, Erich Mansell and wife Leslie and Kevin Mansell and wife Whitney; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. \r\n \r\nA Celebration of Life Service will be at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, TX on March 4, 2017 at 10 AM with Reverend John Wheat officiating the service. Interment is at Fort Sam Houston with Roy - "At last - together again." \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to DAV, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250, Trinity Baptist Church, or your favorite charity.\r\n
