Marjorie Lee Knocke, age 86, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Center Point, TX. She was born in a rural area of Karnes County to Eddie Lee and Lillie Mae Smart on August 31, 1932. Marjorie and Henry Knocke were married on January 14, 1949 in Kenedy, TX. \r\n\r\nMarjorie was a nurse for 37 years and retired from the Kerrville State Hospital. She was an active member in the Methodist church and loved to sing in the choir. In her later years, Marjorie and Henry helped to form the Hill Country Roadrunners RV Chapter of the National United Methodist Campers, where they enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. in their RV.\r\n\r\nMarjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee and Lillie Mae Smart. \r\n\r\nMarjorie is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Henry Knocke; sons, Ronald and Harold Knocke; siblings: sister, Lillian Youngblood, brother, Eddie Earnest Smart and his wife Lula Belle, brother, Causey Don Smart and his wife Faye, brother, John Smart and his wife Norma, and sister, Beverly and her husband Robert Fossler; granddaughters, Suzanne and Sara Knocke and her fiancé Dustin; great-grandson, Wyatt Sheehan; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nA private family service will be held at the columbarium at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Donna Magee officiating.
