Marjorie Lee Bailey, age 94, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Camp Verde, Texas to Silas and Maude Tucker on September 29, 1922 but moved with her parents to Kerrville as an infant and lived there all her life.\r\n \r\nShe graduated from Tivy High School in 1940 and attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College and Schreiner Institute. She worked at the Kerrville VA hospital for over 30 years as Secretary Pool Supervisor and retired from there.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by both her parents; her sister, Betty Williams; her son, John R. Ellis; grandson, Miguel Ellis; and all three of her husbands, Rocco L. Zarzilio, Joseph G. Ellis and C.E. Bailey.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her son, Joseph M. Ellis (wife Janet); sister, Jimmie Lou Ferman; her beloved grandchildren, Asha Floyd (husband Jeramy) and Tim Ellis (wife Taylor); her great grandchildren, Reagan, Shayden, Madison, Julia, Faith, and Zuri; and numerous nieces and nephews. \r\n \r\nShe was an AVID 42 (dominoes) player and along with her son, Joe, won several gold medals at The Kerrville Senior Games. She leaves behind many friends at The Dietert Center where she played 42 for many, many years.\r\n \r\nA viewing will be from 5-6 PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n
