Maria Fernandez

Maria Juanita "Mary Jane" Fernandez age 66 of Lakehills, Texas passed away on February 15, 2023 at her home.

She was born in San Antonio, Tx. to Regino R. Fernandez Jr. and Manuela Hernandez Fernandez on June 16, 1956.

Mary Jane was an only child, never married and didn’t have any children. Mary Jane graduated high school and later obtained her license in business so she could open a small restaurant there in Lakehills, Texas.

She loved running her restaurant but the love for her parents was more important, so she then decided to stay home to care for them.

Mary Jane was a very kind and loving person that you could have ever met. She loved music and loved caring for any cat that would end up on her doorstep.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents Regino R. Fernandez Jr. and Manuela H. Fernandez as well as many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by many cousins and will be greatly missed by many.

A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on March 3, 2023, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Victor’s Chapel in Lakehills, Texas, with Father Frank Kurzaj officiating.  Interment will be held at Hondo Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
